I can't remember when I first started with my love of reading.  I think it was somewhere around 10-12 years old that I first started reading Christian Romance novels, with authors such as Janette Oke and Lori Wick.  As time passed, I began to realize that I didn't just want to read these books, I wanted to write them too.  I had always had a very active imagination and would often have an ongoing story I was dreaming up, however, it seemed like such an unrealistic dream that I never devoted myself to it for many years.  Finally when I was in university, I started to do some writing, but was still very insecure about it.  It wasn't until I started working on "Waiting in the Bylines" that I finally began to believe I might actually be able to write a book.  As I began to share my writing with my family and friends, my confidence began to grow, and I realized that this was something I could do - not because I was the best writer in the world, but because I loved doing it and I was willing to learn.  I'm still learning and growing and making LOTS of mistakes, but I know its all a part of the process and I'm excited to keep pursuing this dream of mine.

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. - Walt Disney
